Radford announced on October 6, 2026, that Parks and Recreation had reopened tennis and pickleball courts. The city’s FY2026 budget had named repair of courts damaged by Hurricane Helene as a recreation goal. Together, the records show a local storm-recovery need and a later park-facility reopening; they do not prove when each repair step occurred. Bisset Park hosts sports, trails, and gatherings on the New River, so food support for a permitted tournament has different access needs from a closed-court renovation crew.
